Phuket's Kings Cup Regatta

There are three main Regattas that are held annually on the waters around Phuket bringing many international visitors and yachts to the Island. Ranging from top professional teams, cruising yachts passing through to the ever increasing local sailing community, all three are gaining in popularity and, hence, numbers, each year. Seraph is involved in a working or racing capacity in all three, which are:

The Kings Cup – the largest International Regatta in SE Asia held over His Majesty the King’s Birthday 0n the 5th December each year.

Phang Nga Bay Regatta – also dubbed the “fun” Regatta which takes place in February each year comprising ‘point to point’ racing in the stunning waters of Phang Nga Bay, Krabi and Phuket.

Phuket Raceweek - the annual event when (normally) the winds blow in the SW Monsoon towards the end of July. In the Regatta, Seraph completes her yearly racing performance and as the Classic Class Trophy Sponsor – the trophy is fashioned from oak from her original rudder – invites all Classic Yachts, design and construction relevant, age not so, to participate in this gentlemanly event.
